Dreamland has been around in some shape of form since around 2000-2001. Dreamland has seen Yeah Right change their name to Alone, members come and go (Joe Roman and B.G.), and finally the demise of Alone after their gig at CBGB's (I've heard different stories as to why they broke up but I won't go there right now).
So what's the point of Dreamland, when after-all, the band hasn't been together since 2004? It's very simple: there are two reasons why I keep this site around and what I'm trying to accomplish with it.
1) I'm a huge fan of the bands and their music. I originally started this site just as your every day fan site. Yeah Right/Alone at one time had quite a few fan sites. I've watched them one by one disappear while Dreamland has remained.
2) Dreamland is my effort in keeping the names Yeah Right and Alone alive. They will always be one of my favorite bands of all time. The "New Era" cd is probably in my top 3 favorite cd's ever. It will forever boggle my mind as to why neither Yeah Right or Alone never got signed to a record label. I'm sure there are factors involved in getting a record deal that someone like me (a fan) doesn't know about. But I do know it takes talent and these bands had plenty of it. I don't know how active they were in trying to get signed but it will always remain a mystery to me why no one ever tried to sign them. These bands could have been huge. In my opinion, these bands came to end before it should have.
I have no intention on ever closing down Dreamland. It will always be around even if it's just this message board.
